Crystal River man charged with child abuse

A woman's live-in boyfriend has been charged with abusing a Crystal River girl, 5.

Corey Lamar Kendrick, 28, also of Crystal River, was arrested by Citrus County deputies on Tuesday.

When the county’s Fire Rescue division officially merged with the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office as of Oct. 1, 2011, a name change also came to the Criminal Justice Academy located at the Withlacoochee Technical Institute in Inverness.
