Marion County Animal Services has removed 37 live animals from a motor home and van in a Dunnellon lot.
Animals who were rescued included dogs, cats, pygmy goats, donkeys and an African Grey bird, according to Marion County Animal Services.
Other animals were found, but they were dead - and put into crates, boxes and bags, authorities said. Those animals who survived were found housed in waste-filled crates and without food. One dog had to be put down because of its condition.
Animal owners Penelope Walker, 67, and daughter Gina Walker, 44, could be charged with animal cruelty, according to Dunnellon police.
