CLOWNING AROUND – “Cool” Citrus Clowns

Citrus Clowns really are "COOL" !
Citrus Clowns were lucky, in the midst of the summer heat , we served at two inside events ,where we worked in the cool. Of course , we clowns are always “cool”. Just ask our many admirers, if you doubt that.

Landfill closed

The Citrus County Central Landfill will be closed on Monday, Sept. 6, in observance of Labor Day.

It will open as usual on Tuesday, Sept. 7.

For more information about landfill hours, call 527-7670 during office hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, or go to the county’s Web site at www.bocc.citrus.fl.us.

Click on departments, then Public Works, then Solid Waste.

Grandparents Raising Children meeting

The Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Support Group will meet from 10 a.m. to noon at the Citrus County Resource Center on Monday, Sept. 13.

The support group is sponsored by Citrus County Support Services.

The group meets at the Resource Center on the first Monday of the month, but because of the Labor Day holiday, this meeting has been moved to the 13th.

The Citrus County Commission recently presented a certificate of recognition to the Citrus County Utilities Department in recognition of Florida Water Professionals Week Aug. 16 through Aug. 20.
