CF emergency medical services program recognized

Emergency Medical Services at the College of Central Florida has been recognized as the top EMS program in Florida.
The 2011 Excellence in EMS Award for Educator of the Year was presented by the Florida Department of Health Bureau of Emergency Medical Services on July 6 in recognition of National EMS Week.
“The college is committed to providing exceptional health care training and it is with pride that we accept this award,” said Dr. Mark Paugh, vice president of Instructional Affairs. “The instructors and staff of the EMS program are to be commended for their dedication in training emergency medical workers throughout Marion, Citrus and Levy counties.”
The award honors an EMS instructor or course coordinator who has made a positive contribution to EMS education in Florida and has successfully implemented a program or initiative that supports the fulfillment of the Florida EMS Strategic Plan.
This marks the 21st year the Bureau of EMS has honored outstanding Florida EMS organizations and individuals who make a positive impact on local EMS throughout the state.
