Citrus Clowns really are "COOL" !
Citrus Clowns were lucky, in the midst of the summer heat , we served at two inside events ,where we worked in the cool. Of course , we clowns are always “cool”. Just ask our many admirers, if you doubt that.

We are proud that we could donate our services for a fun filled Fund Raiser for the Citrus Springs Civic Association Youth Committee recently. This affair was a Buffet Dinner & Show . A professional magician /comedian was their featured performer. Citrus Clowns assisted with the entertaining by Jewels and Zani dancing and all clowns performing for the crowd with zany clown antics in other areas, while the magician did his magic close up for a few people at the time, at tables. The buffet was delicious and we clowns enjoyed the evening very much. Citrus Springs people love clowns, so we are always well received while performing there.
 
This event was our newest clown, Zani Bandani `s (aka Debra Boydston ) first event. She looked so cute in her typical Auguste` clown make up and black and white costume, which she designed herself . The darling big tie and hat and green hair, finished off the clown extraordinaire look, along with her bandanna. Zani is a tiny lady, but oh , so big, in the art of entertaining. She`s an experienced dancer and entertainer in Mid-Eastern dance art, as well as being a teacher in that art .
 
Also, performing was “Dr”. Yar , (aka Ray Thompson), our balloons sculpturing artist, who thrilled the crowd with his sculpturing talents , working very fast, he`s amazing ! His work is a show, in itself.
 
Clown Sunny (aka Vicky Iozzia) ,and her puppet boy, Little Sunny, performed to the delight of the crowd, and as always, crowds love these two great performers ! Little Sunny sported his new train conductor costume , it looked good with his red hair and cute clown ear ring. Clown Sunny wore a special black top hat with red band, lots of colorful beads, fuschia shirt , with red fuschia jeans, she always looks good. 
 
Jewels The Clown (aka Mary K.. Hall), wore bright clown red, satin blouse and full circle skirt, with a black and white geometric sequin vest and white with black polka dots tights. Her sequin black top hat had fancy rhinestone decorations with a polka dotted band and a silver sequin band. The long red curly hair showed good against the black of the hat. A red doll decorated the black polka dotted purse which matched the shoes. Red mesh gloves and black, fluffly wristies completed the costume.
 

 
Our next charitable event was for the Crystal River Sheriffs Youth Ranches Thrift Store, a store sales promotional charity event. All services were donated for this event by Citrus Clowns, including clown supplies. It was a fun event, as they all usually are , and the children were thrilled and surprised to receive so many different give-aways from Citrus Clowns.
 
Clowns performing for the event were :Yar The Jester, ( yes, The Jester is back), Zani Bandani and Jewels The Clown. Face painting for children and adults was done by Jewels, Yar sculptured balloons, Zani gave out stuffed animals, stickers and lollipops.
 
This was Zani`s second event , she`s working a variety of performances and will soon graduate, to be a full fledged clown with Citrus Clowns. Not only is clowning fun, part of the fun is designing clown costumes, Zani is great in doing that ! She bought a bicycle, so I expect she will be using it in her clowning.
