EVENTS:
Mix Citrus Clowns, over 150 smiling children of all ages with Easter baskets and their parents, Mr. & Mrs. Easter Bunny , and you have an Easter Egg Hunt PARTY. Of course , we all had fun, at the Citrus Springs Easter Egg Hunt , sponsored by the Citrus Springs Civic Association Youth Committee. The Easter Egg Hunt provided a wonderful, fun egg hunting time for the children with thousands of eggs and with many prizes awarded.

Clown “Dr.“ Yar (aka Ray Thompson), Clown Sunny (aka Vicky Iozzia) with puppet Big Sunny and Jewels The Clown (aka Mary K. Hall), entertained the crowd and gave stickers, Easter candy and small toys and other giveaways , plus several large stuffed animals were provided as prizes for the children. Then balloons sculptures were created by “Dr.” Yar and Jewels, while Sunny and Big Sunny provided small talk and zany antics for the children. Jewels was an Easter clown with her shocking pink, fuchsia and yellow costume and shocking pink hair, with a rabbit on her small, frilly Easter hat. Jewels says a rabbit MUST be on an Easter hat !

Citrus Clowns appreciate the Citrus Springs Civic Association Youth Committee`s generous donation to the Friends of NCVC for Citrus Clowns, thanks to you all.

Another annual LifeSouth Blood Center`s Gallooneer Picnic was our next event. Citrus Clowns always enjoy entertaining the wonderful people who donate blood and the staff who collect it. This picnic for approximately 400 people, was held at beautiful Ft. Cooper State Park, by the lake . Great fun, music, delicious food, cute beach decorations, door prizes and zany dancing CLOWNS, what more could be desired ? Balloons sculpturing was done by Clown “Dr” Yar and strolling, giving stickers and chatting with the crowd, by Clown Martie the hobo/lady tramp clown, who looked “lady tramp great” with her new, sequined red cap. Strolling, dancing and face painting were done by Jewels The Clown. Adults and children sported Jewels`s painted art work on their faces, hands, or arms, to add a festive air to the FUN. Jewels loves rock`n roll music for dancing and danced several numbers, dancing with big balloons, in her clown costume of bright red, yellow, royal blue and green . No mistaking Jewels, in that bright red hair and dripping with jewelry, everyone seems to know and remember Jewels.

Again to Citrus Springs for Family Fun Day at Wesley Jones Park, was our last April event. Sponsored by the Citrus Springs Civic Association Youth Committee, this is always a great FUN event for families and Citrus Clowns. As the weather is getting hot, we were provided by the sponsors, with a canopy and table for our clowning. This allowed us to do face painting, balloons sculpturing and puppeteering in more comfort. Stickers and candy lollipops were also, given out to the children and adults. Clowns entertain the crowd of several hundred, were: Clown Sunny and her puppet Little Sunny , Clown ” Dr” Yar and Jewels The Clown. Although there was music, Jewels danced very little , as she stayed quite busy painting faces, hands and arms for the children. “Dr” Yar created his balloons art sculptures and Clown Sunny and Little Sunny were much fun performing their usual clown antics.

Citrus Clowns appreciate and thank them, for the Citrus Springs Civic Association Youth Committee`s generous donation to the Friends of NCVC for Citrus Clowns.
