Clowning Around - The Joy of Clowning

Citrus Clowns bring JOY ! I expect you knew that. The question is :
Why do clowns clown ? Have you ever wondered why some people want to appear in public in hilarious poses, looking totally ridiculous in their colorful costumes and multicolor wigs of all types, with painted faces, carrying funny props, even if they don't say a word, but just stroll around acting “goofy”, with even the look of them screaming, “I am a clown” ? Well, most of them do talk, some sing, some dance, some tell jokes, some play tricks, some do magic, some use puppets, some make balloon sculptures, some give out stickers, some walk around talking with the crowd, some surprise you with unexpected talents. Why? Why? Why? Why do they do these crazy things ?
BECAUSE IT`S FUN! There are many more reasons, of course, but FUN is mostly why clowns clown. Now that isn't as selfish as it may at first seem. People tend to do things which they enjoy, true, but at the same time being able for that enjoyment to be shared with other people, is the ultimate joy, there's nothing selfish about that.

Citrus Clowns join together to bring joy to many people. When entertaining one person, or working events for thousands of people, the smiles and laughter which clowns spread through the crowds, is amazing to see. Smiling faces make for a light hearted feeling of being glad to be alive and enjoying the smiles of strangers, as well as of friends. The radiant joy on children's faces spreads and engulfs the area into a magical place, for adults as well as for other children, even if only for a short while and too, this feeling can linger. In todays world of : safety concerns, financial and economic worries, personal, state, national and world problems, joy and laughter are real needs for many or most people. A few bright spots in our lives can make a difference and assist with the coping factor, as laughter is highly beneficial to the human body and aids in people feeling better. Laughter is contagious ! Clowns can and do make a difference. What a wonderful feeling it is, knowing that this is true. Being a clown is a high calling and we are proud to be clowns.

It's hard to look at a clown without laughing, but why should you ? When we hear your laughter, we know we are doing our jobs. Bringing joy and making you laugh, is fun for us and it's what we do.
We are clowns ! Laugh !
