The Citrus County Board of County Commissioners will hold a special public workshop on impact fees on Tuesday, Feb. 1, at 5:01 p.m., in the county commission chambers at the County Courthouse, in Inverness.
Interested members of the public may appear at the meeting and be heard with respect to the proposed ordinance.
Copies of the proposed ordinance and updated Impact Fee Study will be available for inspection and/or purchase between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday at the Lecanto Government Building in the Department of Development Services at 3600 West Sovereign Path. To see the most recent impact fee study, go to the county’s website at www.bocc.citrus.fl.us and click on “Departments” at the top. Then click on “Development Services,” then “Planning Division,” and on that page click on “Impact Fee Information.” “December 2010” is the most recent study.
For more information, contact the Planning Division at (352) 527-5239.
The proposed ordinance, if implemented, would update impact fees in reference to the updated impact fee study, reduce the number of land use categories in the fee schedules, provide definitions of land use categories, cease charging impact fees for changes of use and set an effective date.
