Kerry Parsons, Assistant County Attorney
Citrus County Attorney Richard Wesch on Tuesday announced to the county commission that a new assistant county attorney has been found to fill what Wesch called a "vacancy" in his office.
Wesch presented, and the county commission approved, the selection of Kerry Parsons to fill the position of Assistant County Attorney, although he did not elaborate, nor indicate if Assistant County Attorney Peter Aare either quit or was released from service. What is known is that Aare's position came open in September.
"Kerry Parsons is the new Assistant County Attorney that we had - and we'll let that go," Wesch said, without any further elaboration to either the members of the public present at the commission meeting or to commissioners.
Parsons and her family live in Floral City, Wesch told commissioners. She completed her undergraduate studies at Suffolk University after which she received her law degree from Coastal Law in Jacksonville.
Her responsibilities include Animal Services, PDRB, Water and Waste Water, Code Compliance and the Construction Development and Licensing Board.
You may call Parsons directly at 341-7029 or through the County Attorney’s Office at 341-6579.
