D.A.B. Constructors, the county contractor for the current County Road 486 widening project, told county officials Friday it is planning on shifting traffic onto a temporary surface for a portion of a day early next week on C.R .491.
The company said it was awaiting storm-drain pipe Friday and expected to install the eastern section of the pipes on Monday or Tuesday, June 6 or 7.
The work is expected to create some significant delays on C.R. 491 when underway, and though the company could not say Friday which day it would be, county officials wanted to warn motorists that they could expect backups with delays at some point during that period.
