The Citrus County Sheriff's Office reports that a 2-year-old girl is in critical condition following an incident in the family pool.
CCSO dispatchers were called shortly after 5 p.m. on Sunday about the incident at 8205 N. Lazy Trail in Crystal River.
Deputies arrived at the home, and immediately began CPR on the child until EMS arrived. The toddler was transported to Seven Rivers Regional Medical Center, and on was airlifted on Sunday night to All Children's Hospital in Tampa.
Family members were inside and outside the home when the child apparently climbed up and into the above-ground pool without being noticed.
At last report, the girl was in critical condition.
