Easter Sunrise Worship Service on Lake Hernando

Genesis Community Church, a non-denominational Christian church, extends an open invitation to an Easter Sunrise Worship Service for the entire community on Sunday, April 24, 2011 at 7:00 a.m. on Lake Hernando.

Enjoy the message of Jesus’ resurrection presented by Pastor Brian Baggs in an informal outside setting.

This year will mark the third annual Sunrise Worship Service for Genesis and Pastor Baggs at the beautiful lakeside property provided by the Inverness Elks Lodge located at 3580 E. Lemon Drive, Hernando.

“Come as you are” to an informal outside setting and experience the wonder and majesty of God’s creation as you enjoy the message of Jesus’ resurrection.

If you have never experienced an outdoor sunrise service, you don’t know what you are missing! There is just something very spiritual and moving about hearing the message of the resurrection with the backdrop of the sun rising over the lake and nature awakening with the light. It is as if you go from the gloom and fog that must have covered the earth when Jesus was crucified, to the beauty and wonder of the sunrise that symbolizes His resurrection and the hope and joy that was restored to man.

Rain or shine, the service will take place. If there should be rain, we will move inside the Elks Lodge. Light refreshments, snacks and coffee will be provided.
