Richard Maser, also known as Paul Segura, has been arrested
A 41-year-old man being sought by a regional law enforcement task force was found at about 4 a.m. on Saturday hiding in an Ocala apartment's closet.
The man, Richard Maser, who is also known as Paul Segura, is now in the Marion County Jail.
Maser had been chased from Homosassa by Citrus County deputies into nearby Marion County as they attempted to serve a warrant for his arrest from Sumter County, where he is thought to have had unlawful sexual relations with a minor.
Maser eluded task force agencies and got away into a densly wooded area and disappeared. He eluded task force agencies for two days before being captured on Saturday by U.S. Marshals.
Citrus Daily has learned that Maser also had a woman and her 7-year-old daughter in the car with him as he fled from Citrus County. They were later found unharmed, authorities said.
When Maser fled from Citrus County deputies, he racked up charges of fleeing and eluding and reckless driving. And it was also learned that Maser was wanted for parole violation in Marion County.
