The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a Friday night accident in Hernando in which the driver of a lawnmower was killed and his passenger was injured.
The FHP says county resident Rex Siglin, of Hernando, was pronounced dead shortly before 9 p.m. at Citrus Memorial Hospital. His passenger, Terry, Rowe, 63, of Homosassa only suffered minor injuries.
According to the accident report, investigators say Siglin was on the shoulder of North Carl G. Rose Highway and attempting to cross over to East Brave Lane, when he was struck by a 2005 Ford pickup truck driven by Woodrow Story of Homosassa.
Neither Story, 30, nor his passenger, Andrew Waysome of Hernando, were injured in the accident.
The FHP is still investigating the accident.
