Citrus County firefighters on Wednesday were called out to extinguish a fire at 8301 N. Tiny Lilly Drive in Dunnellon.
Firefighters arrived at 11:05 p.m. to find smoking coming from the garage area of a 2,000-square-foot concrete block home.
Although the fire was extinguished within five minutes of arrival, the smoke caused $25,000 in damages to the building and $12,500 to its contents. There was also minor smoke damage throughout the building and damage to the wiring in the structure.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
