Florida on alert for violence near Saturday's football game tied to Quran threat

GAINESVILLE -- The University of Florida has heightened awareness of security on campus because of the planned burning of the Quran by a Gainesville church that has gained national attention.
The Rev. Terry Jones has said he plans to burn copies of the Quran at his church on the ninth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. Jones has claimed he's received more than 100 death threats.
There are concerns any violence targeting Jones' actions could also be geared toward the Florida-South Florida football game, which would gain worldwide attention with a crowd of 90,000 people expected.
