A woman and her two teenage children, who were reported missing by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, have been found safe in Gainesville.
Jean Russell, 48, and her daughters, Ashley, 14, and Brianna, 11, are expected to undergo evaluation, and the two young girls will be sheltered, at least temporarily.
The Sheriff’s Office had concerns about their welfare, seeing as the children have not been enrolled in school for several years and were thought to have not be eating properly. "Missing and endangered" posters were been placed in the Homosassa area, where it was believed the family might haven been staying.
