A large number of exhibitors will take part in the Florida friendly expo at the Citrus County Extension Office in Lecanto.

The office in located next to the county Lecanto Government Building at 3650 W. Sovereign Path. Take Saunders Way off County Road 491 to get to Sovereign Path.

The University of Florida/Institute of Food and Agricultural Science (UF/IFAS) Citrus County Extension is hosting the expo, which will focus on saving money while protecting the environment, protecting water quality, conserving water and preventing pollution.

Extension officials said there will be plenty of smart “green” choices that involve simple changes.

Admission and parking are free.
