Four people have been arrested following a lengthy undercover sting in the Crystal River area.
Arrested on Wednesday by members of the Citrus County Sheriff's Office Tactical Impact Unit were Ashley Lynn Ackerman, 27, of 15 Mimosa Court East in Homosassa, and Crystal River residents Matthew J. Kanzlemar, 29; 7989 W. Stick Court; Larry John Henriquez Jr., 32, of 1722 N. Dunkenfield Ave. and David Alfonso Henriquez, 24, of 1870 N. Cherry Terrace.
Besides illegal drugs, deputies and detectives seized a 2004 Nissan Titan pickup truck, a 2000 20-foot fiberglas boat, a chopper-style motorcycle, $3,500 in cash and several firearms. Assisting the impact unit were members of the CCSO's SWAT team.
According to the arrest report, the TIU conducted extensive surveillance before executing a warrant at the home of Larry John Henriquez Jr. The arrest report says that deputies found a cardboard box in the home that contained crack cocaine and related paraphernalia. The arrest report also says that David Alfonso Henriquez, who had been under surveillance, had in his possession a boat with an outboard motor that had its serial number blotted out, and inside his boat deputies found a baggie with white rocks which later tested positive as crack cocaine.
Also under surveillance, and subsequent arrest, was Ackerman, who is alleged to have sold an informant about $100 in crack cocaine. She was found, and arrested, during the execution of the search warrant at Larry Henriquez Jr.'s home.
Ackerman was charged with one county of selling crack cocaine and one count of possession of cocaine. Bond was set at $15,000.
David Henriquez was charged with possession of cocaine and tampering with the serial number on the outboard motor found in his possession. Bond was set at $12,000.
Larry Henriquez was charged with two counts of selling cocaine, one count of possession of cocaine, four counts of knowingly driving while license suspended, and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $32,500.
Kanzlemar, who was released on his own recognizance, was charged with one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, and faces a mandatory court date of Nov. 10.
To avoid trouble with the law, or health issues, any one struggling with a drug addiction of any kind should seek proper help at drug rehab facilities.
