Skateboarding is only one of the many activities at the park.
The Beverly Hills Community Park will have new operating hours effective March 1.
The park, lat 997 W. Roosevelt Boulevard in Beverly Hills, will remain open seven days a week, but the new hours will be from dawn to dusk.
The change in hours comes because of continuing vandalism in the park.
The Citrus Sheriff’s Office will work with the county Bureau of Parks and Recreation to strictly enforce the new operating hours, according to county parks officials. Trespassers in the park after hours and those who violate park regulations will be prosecuted, and they could be subject to the immediate revocation of privileges to use any county parks.
After meeting with citizens, parks officials said they agreed to have Crime Watch members open the park gate by 7 a.m. to accommodate early walkers. Parks staff will close the park at dusk.
