The Citrus County Board of County Commissioners will hold a special budget workshop at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at the Citrus County Historic Courthouse at One Courthouse Square in Inverness.
The old, historic courthouse is located on the square, adjacent to the new county courthouse at 110 N. Apopka Ave.
The 2010-11 budget won’t be finalized until September, but recognizing the continuing challenge of falling revenues, the commission wanted to begin planning early for the coming fiscal year, which begins
Oct. 1.
The commission invited the other constitutional officers for the county – the sheriff, clerk of courts, tax collector, property appraiser and supervisor of elections – to take part in the discussions at the meeting.
