The April Madness Basketball Tournament fundraiser for United Way of Citrus County on Saturday will feature two teams from the county government.

Fire Services and the Administration departments are sending teams to the tournament, which will be at the Lecanto High School gym, with doors opening at 9:30 a.m.

The Citrus County Government’s “BOCC Bandits,” including some high level officials, will battle it out on the court against the Chamber of Commerce’s “Chamber Champs” at 10 a.m.

In what promises to be a court-scorcher, Citrus Fire Rescue will play the Sheriff's Office at 1:30 p.m. Sixteen different teams from various agencies and businesses will compete from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. for the winner’s trophy.

Tickets for the game can be purchased at the door. There will be a drawing for the chance of a half court shot to win a motorcycle, a wave Runner, or $10,000 cash. Tickets are $5. Call 795-5483 for information.
