'Fatih-A-Palooza' set for CFCC Ocala on Wednesday

Central Florida Community College will hold its third annual "Faith-a-Palooza" interfaith discussion on Wednesday, Oct. 7.

Students are invited to share their thoughts and engage in discussion, pizza and refreshments with representatives from local faith communities, faculty and staff from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Ewers Century Center, Room 108, at the Ocala Campus, 3001 S.W. College Road.

The event is sponsored by the CFCC student club PANTS, Pantheist, Agnostic, Non-Theist Society. There will be no admission fee, but canned food donations to support Operation Backpack are encouraged.

"One of the primary missions of the club is to reinforce the important values of tolerance and understanding through open dialogue with members of CFCC's diverse faith communities," said Dr. Peter D. Smith, associate professor of Humanities. "Our intent is to encourage co-existence among neighbors of different faiths. This will provide the overarching topic for discussion, but we also hope that dialogue will be free-flowing."

For information about the event or the club, contact Smith at 352-854-2322, ext. 1293, or e-mail PANTScfcc@gmail.com.
