William C. Smith

An Inverness man is under $100,000 bond after being charged today with 20 counts of possession of child pornography.

William C. Smith, 45, of 936 Kringle Lane, was arrested following an undercover Internet investigation.

The Citrus County Sheriff's Office obtained a subpoena for Bright House Networks to identify the Internet address of Smith's computer, which was thought to have downloaded child porn. The subpoena was followed by a search warrant for Smith's computer.

Smith told an investigator that several people use the computer in his office, but that everyone has separate accounts they log into. The investigator found child porn in Smith's folder, and Smith admitted to putting the files there.

According to the arrest report, Smith said that he had been downloading child porn for 10 to 15 years, and was afraid that some day law enforcement would catch him. He also said he wouldn't harm a child and never had the urge to have sex with a child.

Investigators found 20 child porn files on the computer. He was arrested and taken to the county jail, and his computer seized for further forensic analysis.

INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY

The subject says it all. Afterall, Pete Townsend was surfing child porn but was found to have been doing it for research. Let's not hang Mr. Smith right away.

Guilty until proven Guilty

Apperantly your don't know this dirt bag as well as I do. I truely believe he is capable of all the he is accused of and more. Reread the artical he already addmited guily.
