Interested residents are invited to a consensus building workshop on Dec. 1 to guide the development of the county’s 2035 Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) that will identify major transportation improvements needed by 2035 to accommodate future travel demand in Citrus.
The LRTP considers different modes of travel as an integrated system including roadways, public transportation, bikeways and pedestrian facilities in the county.
Citizens are invited to participate in the workshop to develop consensus on strategies to address the issues and challenges.
The workshop is 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Realtors Association of Citrus County at 714 South Scarboro Avenue in Lecanto. That facility is off State Road 44, about half a mile east of the intersection with County Road 491.
