Jeffrey Carpenter
A third suspect was captured Friday night in connection with the case of a Homosassa meth lab.
The Drug Enforcement Agency and Citrus County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant at about 8:30 a.m. on Friday and took two other people into custody.
Since the arrests earlier Friday of those suspects, 25-year-old Crystal Dennis and James Bole, 30, of Homosassa, DEA officials secured a federal warrant for the arrest of Jeffrey Carpenter, 32, also of Homosassa. He had originally been named a person of interest in connection with the meth operations discovered at 8538 W. Kimberly Court in Homosassa.
Shortly before 8 p.m. on Friday, members of the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office Tactical Impact Unit took Carpenter into custody at another residence in Homosassa. They found him hiding in a closet.
Carpenter will face charges of conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine in federal court in Tampa.
