INVERNESS - One minute after 6 p.m. on Labor Day, Gus’s Fuel & Food No. 2 at 1010 N. U.S. 41 reported an armed robbery.
The suspect, said to be between 18 and 25 years of age, entered the store wearing a green hoodie with a John Deere logo, white shirt, blue jeans, black or brown tennis shoes, gloves and a ski mask. He approached the counter and while holding a steak knife in his hand, demanded all the cash.
After getting an undisclosed amount of money, the lone subject fled from the store on foot, heading northbound on Ella Avenue.
No injuries were reported.
A CCSO K-9 team was dispatched to track the suspect, but no one has been apprehended at this time.
