OCALA - Central Florida Community College is holding an information session for bachelor's degree holders
who are interested in becoming teachers.
CFCC's Educator Preparation Institute will provide information on the Alternative Certification Program for individuals with a bachelor's degree or higher, in an area other than education.
The meeting will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 15, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the University Center, Room 109, at the Ocala Campus, 3001 S.W. College Road.
The Alternative Certification Program uses a state-approved model for competency-based teacher certification. It is a fast-paced, 21-credit comprehensive program. Candidates must pass the Florida Professional Education Competency Exam, the Florida General Knowledge Test, and complete field experience.
