OCALA - Central Florida Community College Variations show choir will present "Into the Woods" Nov. 13-15.
"'Into the Woods' is a masterful blending of our favorite fairy tales into a funny, thought-provoking show that ultimately teaches us life lessons," said Gregory Ruffer, assistant professor at CFCC and
music director of the show.
"The students at CFCC have grown immensely through the opportunity to study and perform Stephen Sondheim's greatest work."
The Broadway musical is one of Sondheim's best-known musicals and earned nine Tony nominations and three Tony awards (Best Actor, Best Score, Best Book) in 1979. Performances will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 13 and 14, and at 3 p.m. on Nov. 14 and 15 in the Fine Arts Auditorium at the Ocala Campus, 3001 S.W. College Road.
