The Citrus County Port Authority on Tuesday established its budget as $ 120,510 for Fiscal Year 2011-12.
Funds for the budget will be taken from the county's General Fund, and will be voted on in January 2012 during a meeting of the county commission.According to county budget director Cathy Taylor, line items include $28,510 from the county's General Fund, $27,000 from the Citrus County Economic Development Council in two parts ($12K private donations, $15,000 taken from the county's business license tax fund and $15,000 in a pledge from workforce conenction matching funds.
The port authority has already spent some of the money - to include $11,260 in yearly dues to the Florida Ports Council to allow Citrus County to participate.
Line items that in the new budget include about $4,000 for transportation, $1,000 for web design and $30 per month hosting of a new county web site to publicize Port Citrus.
