On Nov. 5, a total of 186 athletes participated in Crystal River’s 4th annual Kings Bay 5K.
The event, developed by Seven Rivers Regional Medical Center and coordinated by Citrus Road Runners, raised $5000 to benefit YMCA of the Suncoast-Citrus County Program Branch.
“We love hosting healthy activities while benefiting organizations that give back to our residents,” said Dorothy Pernu, event coordinator.
In response to the donation, Joanna Castle, YMCA executive director, said, “Thank you again for naming YMCA the beneficiary of this year's event. The $5000 will help us tremendously with this year's scholarship expenses.”
