Authorities say Leona Field was killed when she asked her boyfriend to move out of their house.
The Citrus County Sheriff's Office tonight identified the alleged shooter in an apparent murder-suicide on Saturday in Dunnellon.
He has been identified as Mark Davidson, 60, who shared the residence at 6439 W. Riverbend Road with Leona Field 63, who was killed on Saturday.
Deputies believe Davidson shot and killed Field, then turned the handgun on himself.
Deputies responded to the couple's home on Saturday afternoon in response to a call indicating fatal shots had been fired in a domestic disturbance at that address.
Detectives on Sunday were finally able to notify Davidson's family that he had been killed and had turned the handgun on himself.
