The Citrus County Sheriff's Office on Thursday arrested a 17-year-old youth and charged him with lewd and lascivious battery on a Homosassa girl, 13.

Arrested was Jesse Lee Brentlinger, 10958 Grybek Court, Homosassa.

Prior to this incident, the arrest report says, Brentlinger was on adult probation for resisting without violence and trespassing. Being arrested in connection with this case violated that probation, and he has been adjudicated as an adult by the court system.

According to the arrest report, Bretlinger had been in the company of two missing juvenile females, one of which was the alleged victim. One of the girls had returned home, and a detective questioned her at the home. She told deputies she had been with the victim and Brentlinger.

She also said all three of them had spent the night in Chassahowitzka and then walked to Homosassa to another friend's home there. She said the person at the residence drove her home, and that she thought the victim was likely at that friend's home. If not, she said, the friend had driven the victim home.

The victim was found at that residence. She denied taking drugs or alcohol, and admitted to having consensual sex with Brentlinger. She was later returned to her guardian, but while on the way there, she pointed out a location on Doe Lane where she said she had sex with Brentlinger.

Brentlinger was contacted and questioned him at the Grybek address. He was informed of the charges against him and was handcuffed and taken to the County jail, where he was read his rights and interviewed.

He told a detective that he met the two girls while riding his bicycle down Yulee Drive, and that they hung out together for a short time before heading toward the victim's residence. They stayed there for a short time and headed elsewhere. Eventually all three stayed at his place for a short time. He also said the residence was also the place where he and the victim had consensual sex.

The girls later asked if they all could walk toward Chassahowitzka so one of the girls could meet her boyfriend, but Brentlinger told them that he was only going to walk halfway, which was at Howard's Flea Market. Later, the girls struck out again without him, and he gave the victim a pocket knife, since the girls would be walking alone during late hours.

Later, the arrest report continues, Brentlinger said he arrived at a residence on Doe Lane. He told the detective he thought the victim was 15.

Brentlinger's bond was set at $15,000.
