Eligible Citrus County homeowners may be qualified to receive financial assistance through the Florida Hardest-Hit Fund (HHF) Program.
The program, administered by Florida Housing Finance Corporation, is available statewide for troubled homeowners who are unemployed or underemployed through no fault of their own.
Homeowners who qualify for financial assistance from HHF may receive monthly mortgage payments paid directly to their lender, and/or funding to help bring a past-due first mortgage current.
To determine if a homeowner is eligible for this funding, he or she may contact Citrus County Housing Services at 352-527-7526 to make an appointment to have a HHF advisor pre-screen them and determine if they qualify for the assistance.
Pre-screening services and application to receive funding from Florida’s Hardest-Hit Fund program is free-of-charge; homeowners will not be asked to pay for any eligibility determination services in conjunction with applying for the program.
